Best of Oral Abstracts Awards

GI Cancer Trials recognises outstanding oral abstract presentations by providing the Best of Oral Abstracts Awards at each ASM. The awards offer opportunities for peers to acknowledge exceptional contributions to the group and its meeting. Up to three abstracts may be chosen for oral presentations with a chance to win Best of Oral Abstracts Awards. The final decision on abstracts for oral presentations will be made by the ASM Executive Committee.

Assessment criteria

The presentations will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Quality of presentation (fluency & clarity)
  • Audience engagement
  • Use of allocated presentation time
  • Confidence in handling questions & quality of answers provided (during Q&A)
  • Topic is aligned to the ASM theme
